How to Develop Your Customized Study Strategy Part Two:
*The best way to do determine your effective study method is to determine what kind of learning styles you like to use. Ask yourself the following questions.
Most schools provide you with textbooks, videos to watch,
a) If you're a visual learner, a learner that learns better with diagrams or pictures, you might want to skim read textbooks by looking at the bold, italics, and pictures in the textbook, review the chapter summary or objectives, ask yourself what the reading is about? or watch videos produced by your teacher. The one you choose from the above options should be the one your professor emphasizes. I had a professor that made his own videos for students to learn difficult concepts and gave practice questions. Instead of reading the textbook, I watched videos and did the matching questions. I got an "A" in the class. #lessismore
b) If you're a kinesthetic learner, a learner that likes to use their hands, you might want to summarize what you understand when you read the textbook, take notes on the reading, and draw pictures in your notes. Note: Typing is not effective for a kinesthetic learner because it doesn't create muscle memory.
