In school, there can be an overwhelming amount of information being thrown at you.  It can help to have a study method to organize your study time.  When you have an idea of what to expect, there's less anxiety about studying for school.

How to Determine Your Effective Study Strategy Part One

Pros

-Get competitive grades

-Create your study habit roadmap. Prioritize your energy.

-Greater focus on assignments.

-Use time efficiently.

-Plan better.

-Maximize eu-stress, the stress to get things done, to better retain information learned in school and accomplish goals.

How to Determine Your Effective Study Strategy Part One:

*The best way to do determine your effective study method is to determine what kind of learning styles you like to use. Ask yourself the following questions.

a) Ask yourself "Am I a learner that likes to use chemistry models (see above picture), anatomy models, writing notes, writing on the board, or using a tablet to draw pictures to help me understand ideas better?"  Does the information "stick" better using these methods?  If yes, you're most likely a kinesthetic learner, a learner that likes to use their hands.

b)Ask yourself  "Am I a learner that retains information better if I make up a rap song and sing it aloud? Can I retain information when someone explains directions to me in one go?  If yes, you're most likely an auditory learner, a learner that can hear things once and understand them.

c)Ask yourself  "Am I a learner that understands ideas better with pictures? Do I sit in the front row to see what's being written on the board? Do I retain information better by studying flashcards?

d)Most people are a mix of the types of learning styles mentioned above.  Choose two of the three types of learning styles that will benefit you the most.

e)Use these learning styles to develop your personal study method.  See the post on How to Determine Your Effective Studying Method, Part Two.
