It's easy to take on too many tasks or projects without realizing it.  Before you know it, you're in over your head and you're unable to concentrate on what needs to get done.  It may feel like you'll be in this state for an eternity, but there are some things you can do to change your present state.  This article gives a few tips to restore balance into your life as well as rejuvenate yourself.

Tips to Restore Balance

How to Rebuild Yourself After Burnout

Pros

-Prioritize your energy.

-Happiness

-Increased Interest in Life Again!

-Overthink Less.

-Save time and money.

-Decision Satisfaction/Increased Competence.

-Use time efficiently.

-Better focus and results.

-Restore your mental health/energy levels to previous normal levels for you.

Tips to Restore Balance and Rejuvenate:

a) Ask yourself "what choice would I regret the most here?" For me, I think of my mental health/self-care as a priority because without mental health I can't do anything else.

b) Make a schedule around your self-care.  First, set aside time for self-care activities.  The remaining time is set aside for work.

c)When you start scheduling work activities, do one to two activities that are most important.

d)Learn to say "no" comfortably.  If you are burnt out, limit the activities that you need to get.  Be okay with saying no to other activities that may cause you to stretch yourself thin.

d) Set aside time the max time you have to work out and work out intensely. Incorporate weighted activities if you can.  When you feel that a weight is too light, try challenging yourself to a heavier weight.

e) Do activities that clear your mind.  I recommend meditation yoga.  See my Kundalini Yoga article about healing trauma.  Also helps to reset your day when done in the morning or before the start of your day.

f)When you cannot focus on tasks you need to complete, take that day or night off.  You will not be able to recall any information learned during this time.  It would be a waste of energy to force yourself to do something in this instance.
