So, I went to Tulum at the end of April. Syke!!!! Instead, I went to a restaurant called Tan in NYC, which is three months old, and it transported me to Tulum.  Tulum is an ancient city in Mexico that is well known for its ancient Mayan ruins and turquoise-blue beaches.  One day I'd like to visit this city with my husband and friends because of how gorgeous it is. Good enough for to share amazing memories with loving people.

The restaurant is draped in authentic grain sack amidst beam posts that are tree look a likes with warm lighting in an intimate and elegant dining space. The ambience is next level. The service is in spanish or english.  It seems as if the workers are mexican, so it felt very real to me. All five of my senses were engaged, from the food tasting to the original mexican accent and inclusive non generic look of a true native, I felt transported.  It is a luxurious experience and the equivalent of Rainbow Cafe except for adults. All it needs is a spa and I will be spending an entire day here with friends and acquaintances.

Experience Recommendations:

- guacamole and salsa
- bone marrow
- tulum ceviche
- seafood enchiladas
- spicy watermelon cooler mocktail
- Oaxacan lava cake with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce 😋

- mocktail drinks amazing...known for it!

I was stuffed to the brim but I was so happy I went. Sometimes, when I get so full my bliss precedes me and I end up uncontrollably laughing due to my body's reflex reaction to an over stuffed state. But, fortunately, that did not happen and I was still very pleased and blissful. And my company, whom I've never met before, were spared awkwardness. Haha. What a night out. If you haven't experienced this Tulum inspired restaurant, please reserve your seats. And prepare to be blown away. The restaurant will recieve it's liquor license in October of 2023 and it will likely be booked up when it does. So, get it now while the iron is hot!!
