There's something interesting about trying foods from different cultures and enjoying the good people of that culture. I was introduced to this spot by Filipino transplants now living in NYC.
Tradyson NYC
At this restaurant, I would highly recommend the Pork Sissig with Garlic Fried Rice. The pork chunks are crunchy, porky, fatty, and slightly acidic due to the pungent lime and cilantro. The next dish I'd recommend is the Chicken Adobo with Garlic Fried Rice. It's meaty, flavorful, and filling. What more can you ask for?
I didn't get a chance, but I would try the Ube Cheesecake, and Filipino coffee, homegrown and imported to NYC. If you love coffee like I do, you gotta' try it! Next time, then I'll review it here.
Notes
Yes, its true you can enjoy your life while losing weight or adjusting to a slowing metabolism. I enjoyed this dish by eating all the veggies, pork, and a handful of rice. Most of the lunch bowl was filled with rice. I try to eat what I want while making healthy choices from my options. I eat less and lite per meal, even if it's a special occasion.
