Recently, one of my friends chose to spend some time together. I love gift-giving and seeing people happy. So, I knew she would love authentic Chinese food and a flower/ coffee shop called Remy 43 Coffee and Flowers. The latter will be discussed in another post.
Peppercorn Station is fully loaded with Szechuan cuisine. As promised, the layout of the restaurant can be seen on my Instagram post about it. Typically, in traditional authentic Chinese food experiences the setting is plain and simple. What matters is community and good food that brings flocks of Asian natives together. I’ve seen this in Flushing’s Macy’s Mall in Queens and Joe Shanghai’s Soup Dumplings.
Cost: $$
Experience Recommendations:
- Mapo Tofu – stewed ground pork with tofu, boldly spicy, savory, and full-bodied flavor.
- Dan Dan noodle
- Pork belly w. Sweet spicy sauce and peanuts 🥜
- You can split dishes and tabs to make it even cheaper. Portions are big.
- Go with company you enjoy. I spent my time mostly enjoying food and listening to her. My company could not stop talking about the food and how delicious it was.
