When I worked 13 to 14 hour days, my weekend relief consisted of doing something nice for myself. On Saturday and Sunday, I would go for 7-mile runs. Then, after a nice hot shower, I had massage therapy appointments once a week.  It centered me and relieved my tension built over the course of the week.  My mind was relaxed and at ease.  If you can, I recommend this form of self-care.  According to Dr. Van Der Kolk, M.D., It can also relieve emotional stress from trauma.  I can attest to this. It was transformative.
